October 10, 2009

I am considering to quit blogging.

I think studying is more important.

This Moment: Discovery

October 10, 2009

I pulled out a little notebook from my shelf thing and I discovered it was one of the many diaries that I had stopped writing in and..

Success

October 9, 2009

“Only those who can face their enemies with a friendly nature are the successful ones who triumph in life.”

So true. I am going to follow this quote for the rest of my life, no matter what.

I’ll face everyone with a smile. :)

EXPECTATIONS

October 9, 2009

You know what I hate? I hate being compared to somebody else. Unless it’s academically, then fine, I guess that’s what enables a teacher to mark criterias fairly. HOWEVER, when I am compared to somebody else for what I am and what I do, I get so angry that I could dig my nails into my own palms while I clutch my hands with fury. Every one of us is different. Personalities, styles, interests, appearances. We are all made up of different qualities and characteristics and that’s what makes every single person interesting. A person’s interesting because he/she posseses traits that others don’t have and are, therefore, exotic. So knowing this, you really can’t expect everyone to be exactly the same. You can’t expect everyone to be perfectly cloned species with no flaws.  And certainly, my grandparents shouldn’t expect me to be the absolutely perfect granddaughter that’s supposedly meant to bring them pride. A granddaughter that they can show off to the whole world.

They want me to be perfect. ABSOLUTELY perfect. They want me to achieve perfect grades (straight As) and become a doctor one day after studying and graduating from the highest education level available (not like I am anyway). They don’t only expect me to be a bright student whose brain was meant to be so big that could explode, but, they also want me to look perfect as well. They want me to have perfectly healthy skin, flawless face, pointy nose, big eyes, slim chin, etc. Not only that, I am also supposed to be a weight that’s in the 40s range while achieving a height of 165 at the minimum? Perfect perfect perfect. Everything must be perfect. WHY MUST I?

They just want me to be perfect so they can show me off to their friends. They enjoy the compliments. The flattering.

“Your granddaughter so beautiful! Your granddaughter so intelligent! Wow, you such young age and your granddaughter so mature already! You lucky people.”

Then, they would reply…

“No, lah! No way, lah! Not compared YOURS.”

(For those of you who don’t know, in mandarine, ‘lah’ is a term that can be used to add a friendly atmosphere. I think my GPs needed that to hide the fact that they might have been a bit “jealous” ? I could be wrong though. I’m not a mind reader.)

As if that wasn’t enough, they expect me to hide my flaws too so their reputation of having “wonderful granddaughters” won’t go down. Just because my legs are fat for an Asian, they expect me to wear long pants. SUMMER’S APPROACHING. Scorching hot already. And they expect me to wear long pants? Puh-lease, I’m not trying to be much of a rebel to them but, I seriously ain’t gonna wear any suffocating pants just because I have “embarassing” legs. Apparently, my legs are very short too. Wearing pants will make them appear longer. I see why they prefer me wearing long pants. They wan’t me to grow at least 4cm more since I am 161cm. I think that’s an alright height. I just have to wear my heels and I’ll be around 169cm. I must admit I like that feeling, though. HOWEVER, that doensn’t give my grandparents the right to compare me and critcize me infront of their friends. Just because their friend’s daughter is a mother effin’ giant… she was 168cm when she was my age, apparently. They think that’s normal. I can derive from this fact that they live under a rock. How many 168cm Asian girls can you see when you walk into the mall? Not many, I can assure you. You know… most of us Asian girls are not very active, so we don’t grow much. Oh, speaking of being active, they even got me a basketball hoop so I could play bball and grow taller. Too bad, I never played much due to studies. I think this encouragement from them was triggered by their friend’s giant daughter. They wanted me to grow tall so bad that they even bought this chinese medicines to cook. They are so disgusting and stinky. The substance is black and icky. Along with the chinese medicine, came the growing pills WITH THE POWDERED CHINESE MEDICINE seeled inside them. This is how desperate they were about my height.

You know? These Asians love the height. When they compliment somebody tall, they ALWAYS say:

“Ehhhh? Not bad! Not bad! Very handsome/beautiful! Ah, look at those long legs. Is like model!”

MODEL.

That’s right.

They love it because it links to all these things that they love. Fame, money, beauty, perfection, good appeal, etc. No wonder they used to want me to be around 168cm but since I didn’t grow much after primary school, they kinda gave up on that hope and lowered their standards to 165cm.

omg.. 803 words already… I must be boring you guys, if you’ve actually read up to here. But yeah.

I HATE BEING COMPARED TO THEIR STUPID FRIEND’S DAUGHTERS!!!

SO WHAT IF ALL THREE CHILDREN OF ANOTHER ONE OF THEIR FRIENDS GOT OP1S? DO I CARE? NO!!!

It’s not like I am blood-related to them and I should get an OP1. Wth!! Besides, my year level is the last group to be going through OP system. They’re gonna change it to the NSW style or something. But I don’t really care. Like wtf. I just want an OP2…not OP1. Why study so hard for OP1 when all I need is OP2? I don’t want to be a bloody doctor. You know you have to touch dead bodies for a whole week as an assignment during the uni course? That is soooooo grosss!! I am definitely, absolutely, surely not doing that. I can’t even touch a dead cockroach. How can I touch dead humans? Ugh!

Rainy Rainy Rainy RAINY!!!

October 7, 2009

Don’t you just hate it when the bell just rings and you’re off to lunch and it starts raining hardcore?

It’s so annoying.

Why not earlier HUH?

Why not during class HUH?

Always lunch time and after school HUH?

-_-

It feels rly gross too.

The weather becomes all cold and wet and the armies of rain droplets attack you fiercely. They so fierce, that when they hit you, it hurts. Luckily, I didn’t experience that today. BUT IT WAS STILL COLD even though it’s spring… Can’t imagine summer… it would be sticky too. Urgh! I loathe that feeling. Grosssss. Fortunately, I am going away for holidays when it’s hottest over here. Haha.

ANYWAY

And you know what else I hate about rainy days?

We gotta move our group into the tunnel walk-way thing so we can miserably shelter ourselves from the horrible hardcore rain. And I don’t like to hang in that tunnel place because there are no sits and you have to sit on the ground but everyone’s walking through with their wet-ass shoes and so the ground is all wet -_- There is also another reason as to why I detest hanging in the tunnel but I prefer not to share that here.

PHOTO TIME!

Look at how horrible the rain was!!

091007_130749

Ahhh…yes… no sunlight…all gloomy…………………………………………and goosebumps

The wind was also blowing so hard that the rain went right to the other side of the green roof thing. You can see by looking at the ground that’s completely wet. Thank God the rain did not persist through out the whole lunch time.

And I think we got kinda bored. So bored that this magically happened!

Risotto

October 7, 2009

I thought risotto would be quite healthy until I realised the amount of butter needed to put into it…

But I cooked it anyway coz I felt like trying one out since I’ve never had risotto before.

I made a bunch of hopeless mushrooms, onions, etc into something!

091007_173810

It actually tasted quite fine although I had no vegetable stock or chicken sauce. Which means, it coulda tasted even better.

One thing I wasn’t happy with, though, was the amount I cooked. It was too much… how was I supposed to consume all that? My appetite is not that big! Besides, it’s not good to eat alot for dinner while dieting… I’m such a failure at this lol XD BUT WHO CARES! NOT ME! Okay, I lied. But that’s not the point.

Byebye!

Asian Stereotypes

October 7, 2009

I would like to break an Asian stereotype.

Yeahhhhhhhhh… we all know there are ones like, Asians have small eyes, Asians have yellow skin, Asians have flat face, etc

But what I wanna talk about today is the hair.

“Asians have super straight, black hair.”

WRONG!

And I have proof.

When I wake up in the mornings and look into the mirror, this is what I see.

091007_070208

091007_070301

CURLY HAIR

But most is actually wavy.

But that’s not the point.

The point is, NOT ALL ASIANS HAVE NICE, STRAIGHT, BLACK HAIR. I know some Asians whose hair actually grow out brown (see, I am so nice I even show you the colour).

So yeah, don’t believe those retarded stereotypes out there.

Another example is that teenagers are stereotyped as crazy, wreckless beasts by the more mature adults (because they don’t have a life and watch TV all day. JOKES!) BUT ARE WE? NO. Exactly. Stereotypes are just bs most of the times.

Therefore,

DON’T LET STEREOTYPES BECOME YOUR “COMMON KNOWLEDGE”.

JOONIE

P.S. Ah, but maybe I know why people believe Asians have straight hair… because technology is so advanced! I straighten my hair everyday. LOOK HOW DECEIVING IT IS!

Unreasonable

October 7, 2009

My sister is so unreasonable.

She was whining and making all these weird sounds…complaining, etc

Why?

Because I refused to lend her my earphones for LG mobiles again.

I may sound mean, HOWEVER, I do have a reason why I’m not lending it to her anymore.

She did not take care of them.

Oh yeah, you wanna borrow something? Sure thing! But take care of them ok?

If you want to borrow my stuff, shouldn’t you at least follow the rules? Like, they’re actually pretty simple, logical and fair. Plus, I was being kind by actually letting my sister borrow them without time-limit because she feels the “need” to speak to her boyfriend for hours and HOURS everynight. Also, she is lazy to hold the phone to her ear and apparently, she claims to be scared to be diagnosed with brain cancer so she decides to use earphones (but earphones also have electromagnetism which causes cancer). Unfortunately, she’s lost hers, so she was”forced” to take up the “last and only” option; borrowing mine. I was being so nice to actually let her borrow my earphones because she is so irresponsible for her belongings. She actually lost the earphones she uses almost everynight. What if she loses mine too? -_-

Well, I guess I know why she even lost her earphones. Coz well… she leaves them lying around anywhere.

091006_151219

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS IS MY PROOF THAT SHE DIDN’T TAKE CARE OF MY EARPHONES.

I quickly took this picture incase she denied to have left it on the ground -_- because I was determined to have my earphones back since she couldn’t take care of them.

And she’s borrowing my other country road bag atm coz her bag is “too dirty”.

-_-

If she dirties it… heck, I don’t even know if she would be willing to be responsible for what she’s done and wash it.

I really hope my CR will be safe by the time it comes back.

Apparently, she said she’ll only borrow it for 3 days (time taken to wash and dry her bag) but I seriously haven’t seen any bag drying out and I haven’t actually seen her put her bag to wash either.

I just hope she stops being so unreasonable when it comes to borrowing my belongings and start being responsible.
